Happy Memorial Day

Last night we had a great meal at Grandma & Grandpa Cleaves'. Grandpa slow cooked a brisket and Mr. Bill next door made some killer ribs. Alexis had a Mary Kay makeover while Dave babysat a fussy Pipes. Thoughts and prayers go out to our brother-in-law Rob Brock in Iraq. Thank you to Rob and all our servicemen & women.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle is Piper's favourite book at the moment. Dave and I get roped into reading it several times every day.

I'm so excited!!!

I just ordered 6 dozen perogies online from a restaurant in Philadelphia that I saw on the Food Network last night. Guess what's for dinner tomorrow!!!!!! I haven't had perogies since I can't even remember. When I lived in Canada I ate them 3 times a week!

Hot Already

Piper and I woke up early this morning and are eating breakfast together in the kitchen. Well, a more accurate description would be that Piper is throwing her Cheerios from her highchair while I try to sneak in a spoonful of cereal. She's having real banana for the first time. I grated some into her cereal. So far, it's not the hit that Cheerios are.

We are going to leave for a walk to exciting downtown Wylie soon so that I can look into getting fit! Yeehaw!

Dave took me on a surprise overnight camping trip to Turner Falls, OK on May 14th. Here you see Dave trying to figure out how the hell our new tent sets up.
