This was Piper's first time skating. She was fearless! She loved to have her dad hold her while she posed like a figure skater in his arms, urging him to go faster, faster! She also enjoyed sitting in the penalty box like Daddy does when he plays hockey. Papa K was the 2nd best skater, (tied with Grandma Minka, I'd say), Papa took a few spills but kept on going. Mommy went for a lap or two, but after being bumped into by some young yahoo (and David almost rearranging his face for him), she gave it up for the time being. All in all we had a great time and Piper can't wait to go again.

Cooking With Papa K

 

 

 

 

Our first personal chef of the summer has arrived! Papa K has so far provided us with wonderful chicken pitas, an amazing chili, and tonight we are having 2 (yes, TWO!) roast chickens complete with stuffing, Dave's Magic Mashed Potatoes, Papa's famous gravy, a spin on Auntie Amber's ginger-honey carrots, and some nice peas. Riley, of course, is thrilled with milk, and we are trying to entice her elder sister away from PB&J.
