Margaret Falls (aka Renneker Falls)

Just to the right of Piper's head you can see where the cave that Uncle Marlon went into when he was about 9 years old.

Goats Again (They're Very Popular with You-Know-Who)

Here they are, waiting for their treats from Piper.

Piper offering a tidbit to the goats.

Will the goats like raw broccoli?

Apparently not, so Piper dined on it herself. Posted by Picasa

Hunting for Kitty

The search begins under Grandma K's bed...

Aha! You can't hide from Piper forever Tigger!

Piper and Grandma K snuggle while awaiting the kitty.

Patience is rewarded as Tigger gets a big hug from the Pipes. Posted by Picasa

Our First Day in Salmon Arm, BC

Alexis and Piper observing Grandma K's famous hotcakes.

Papa K and Piper on their way to feed the goats that live next door to Great-Grandma K's house.

There are three goats in all. The one we call the baby goat (he has horns) always gets pushed out of the way by his aggressive roommates. The latter are so eager for something to nibble that they'll go after your clothing if you don't profer up the goods promptly.

After the goats, Grandpa K and Piper take a walk to the footbridge over the creek. On one side of the creek lies Great-Grandma K's backyard, on the other is a veritable wilderness of beautiful birch trees, evergreens, and even a lone apple tree. Posted by Picasa

Leaving On A Jet Plane...

Piper and I are leaving on Thursday to fly (way up high in the sky, as Piper says) to Vancouver, Canada, where Papa K will pick us up and drive us to Salmon Arm. We'll be staying with Piper's Great-Grandma K for the week, and will be visiting with Grandma Minka and Great-Grandma Bee as well. We'll try blogging from there, but as Grandma K doesn't have the internet yet, we may not be able to until we return to Texas. See you then!

Our Day Trip to Rockport, MA

Here's Dad in his bib, awaiting his lobster lunch. We ate at The Fish House...

This is the seafood shop that supplied our lunch at The Fish House. If anyone finds themselves near Rockport and hungry, we recommend it!
